Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.Role and responsibilitiesAs a member of the Source-Mask Optimization R&D team, the job entails large-scale C++ software development that optimizes the photomask patterns, their sub-resolution assist features across a fleet of ASML family of XT, NXT, NXE, and EXE scanners. The job requires an understanding of the signal processing, Fourier optics, optical physics, modern optimization and machine learning algorithms, and C++ software design.Education and experiencePh.D. or M.S. in physics, physical chemistry, electrical engineering, applied mathematics, computer science, or related areas.Knowledge of optics, semiconductor lithography, and IC design.Experience in scientific simulation, numerical methods, image processing, optimization, computational geometry, machine learning, data sciences is a good plus.3+year experience in C++ or other object-oriented software development.Solid understanding in data structures and algorithms.Experience in developing and debugging multi-threaded/parallel applications.Familiar with UNIX environment and scripting languages.Strong verbal and written communication skills.SkillsWorking at the cutting edge of tech, youll always have new challenges and new problems to solve and working together is the only way to do that.
