Job Description Job Description Senior Trusts & Estates Litigation Attorney We are seeking an accomplished Senior Trusts & Estates Attorney with 6 years of experience , ideally focused on trusts & estates planning. Candidates with a portable book of business are strongly encouraged to apply. About the Role In this role, you will handle complex trusts and estates matters from strategy through resolution. You will work in a fastpaced, collaborative environment that values high standards, initiative, and professional growth. This position offers meaningful client interaction, courtroom exposure, and the opportunity to mentor and develop junior attorneys. Key Responsibilities Meet or exceed minimum billable hours requirement Design plans for high-net-worth clients Design and draft irrevocable trusts such as Crummey trusts, intentionally defective grantor trusts, irrevocable life insurance trusts, charitable split-interest trusts, and grantor retained annuity trusts Plan for blended families, generation-skipping transfer tax planning, international estate planning and cross-border issues, fiduciary income tax issues, and preparation of estate tax returns and gift tax returns. Manage complex trust administrations Perform initial client intake calls and shepherd the CRM's through engagement Perform legal research Manage and organize client files as well as keep client database and document management system up to date. Leadership & Mentorship Opportunities Depending on experience and interest, this role may include: Reviewing and overseeing work product of associate attorneys Delegating assignments and managing workflow Mentoring and training attorneys and legal support staff Qualifications Education & Licensure Active member of the California State Bar Experience 6 years of experience (Trusts & Estate Planning strongly preferred) Experience with LexisNexis or Westlaw and legal client management systems Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong knowledge of the California Rules of Court and local rules Familiarity with California probate and trust administration processes Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills Exceptional attention to detail; strong command of grammar and written style Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Outstanding organizational and timemanagement skills Proven ability to manage client relationships from intake through resolution Ability to mentor others, set goals, and contribute to team development Selfstarter with a proactive mindset and willingness to learn Why Join Us Clear path for career growth and advancement Partnertrack opportunity Engaging, highimpact litigation matters Collaborative environment that values leadership and initiative If you’re a seasoned trusts and estates attorney looking to take the next step in your career, we’d welcome the opportunity to connect.
