Job Description:

As a Java Analytics Engineer, you will make an impact by designing and delivering scalable analytics solutions and cloud?based applications that support high?volume, business?critical systems. You will be a valued member of a cross?functional engineering team and collaborate closely with technical program managers, tech leads, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust, production?ready solutions. This role requires strong hands?on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and cloud platforms, along with the ability to guide technical discussions Candidates must be available for an in?person interview. In this role, you will: Design and implement analytics solutions and models deployed on cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions, leading technical discussions with stakeholders and engineering partners Develop high?quality applications using Java and Spring Boot, following industry?standard coding practices Write and maintain unit test cases, meeting or exceeding coverage targets defined by the project Ensure features are fully tested, validated, and successfully deployed to production environments Implement monitoring and observability solutions in line with client and platform recommendations Design and work with event?driven architectures, including Kafka or other messaging/queueing technologies Work model At Cognizant, we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible while meeting business needs. Based on this role’s requirements, this is an onsite position requiring five days per week in a client or Cognizant office in Sunnyvale, CA. What you must have to be considered 8–10 years of professional experience in Java development, including Advanced Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and Spring JPA Hands?on experience designing and developing applications on a cloud platform (Azure preferred; GCP acceptable) Strong experience with Kafka or other messaging/queueing technologies Experience designing or contributing to large?scale, high?volume applications Proven ability to translate business needs into technical designs and lead technical discussions Strong understanding of coding standards, testing practices, and production readiness These will help you stand out Experience building analytics?driven or data?intensive applications Background implementing monitoring, logging, and observability solutions in production systems Experience mentoring developers or providing technical design guidance Familiarity with distributed systems and event?driven architectures Please note: This role will require an in-person meet and greet at our Cognizant offices or client location. Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position is between $68,422 to $128,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
