We are seeking a highly motivated, collaborative Principal
Scientific Researcher (PSR) to join the Viral Vector Technologies
group within Genentech's Molecular Biology Department. The
candidate will develop cutting-edge technologies that enable
preclinical cell and gene therapy efforts spanning a range of
therapeutic areas. In addition, the PSR will build and apply gene
delivery and modification technologies for in vivo functional
genomics and target characterization. This includes the design,
engineering, and production of AAV-based systems (capsid and cargo)
with defined tropism and transgene expression control mechanisms.
The candidate is expected to be nimble and eager to contribute to a
fast-paced, evolving research program.
Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Genetics, Cell Biology, Molecular
Biology, Neurobiology, Immunology, Genome Engineering, Cell/Gene
Therapy, or a related field.
