Our goal is to make the human genome practically useful so that
it can guide life-altering decisions. We are the leader of
hereditary cancer screening and prenatal screening, helping
thousands of women and their families make critical healthcare
decisions every day.
As a Computational Scientist at Myriad Genetics, you will build
and maintain the underlying assays and analytical pipelines,
working closely with molecular biologists and software engineers.
Contributions include validating product updates, developing
statistical analysis methods to extract robust signals from noisy
experimental data, and sharing your methods in the form of simple
re-usable software. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and
derives joy from bringing rigor, structure, and organization to
large datasets, complex systems, and intricate analyses. We are
seeking an individual who thrives in a professional atmosphere,
where interdisciplinary teams are central to project success.
What you'll do
Make critical contributions to awesome products in a
cutting-edge clinical genomics laboratory.
Use rigorous data science and modern software best practices to
create efficient, reliable, and optimized bioinformatics
Build, validate, and future-proof new products and product
features that improve the lives of the patients we serve.
Work closely with talented molecular biologists, software
engineers, automation engineers, and data scientists.
Characterize data resulting from novel molecular assays and
guide molecular protocol development from a statistical
Work with legal staff to secure intellectual property rights for
inventions pertaining to our products.
- Communicate your results to stakeholders across the
organization, e.g., engineering, marketing, sales, legal, and
genetic counseling. You derive satisfaction from thoroughly and
thoughtfully describing a system for both technical and
