Fluidigm is looking for a Senior Director, Commercial Transformation. The Senior Director, Commercial Transformation will lead the strategic development, integration and management of commercial processes and technology to enable growth and effectiveness of Fluidigm's sales and marketing organizations worldwide. The Senior Director will manage a team of business and technical professionals, and collaborate with stakeholders across multiple worldwide departments to meet short and long range strategic objectives, including evaluating and implementing business processes, performance measurement including reporting & analytics of sales and marketing activities, as well as training in the area of sales process and effectiveness.

Description:

* Designs and leads the long-term vision for Fluidigm's Global Sales Operations department with development of tools, processes and programs that enable the sales process and enhance productivity in the commercial organization * Establishes and aligns global sales frameworks to advance sales culture in support of the commercial leadership team's vision * Establishes effective training strategy, delivery and adoption of best practices to commercial personnel, including consideration for pain-points in the field for continuous improvement * Serves as a trusted adviser to commercial leaders to achieve commercial objectives, including the develop of key performance indicators (pipeline, lead conversion, sales performance et al), market trends, product trends, and identification of risks and opportunities * Develop a regular reporting & analytics strategy to integrate and ensure consistency all data sources into daily operations for commercial leadership teams * Define necessary business applications requirements, including SFDC and other sales enablement technologies, to drive utilization and improve sales execution and data consistency

Minimum Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree required; Graduate degree/MBA in analytical field preferred * 15 years of experience with both high level commercial operations and demonstrated knowledge of day to day work in sales; life science industry experience a plus * Experience leading change and global strategy development, presenting to and collaborating with VP and C-level executives to make sound business decisions * Demonstrated experience in anticipating and identifying complex business needs and managing teams to recommend solutions for complex problems * Complete and detailed understanding of business intelligence and processes * Ability to display strong self-initiative and support recommendations with sound thinking and fact-based evidence (data, research, best practices, etc.) * Possesses advanced excel skills & SFDC knowledge, as well as understanding of implementation of business application tools * Proven track record of establishing and meeting organizational strategic goals and objectives
