Job Description:

As Aspiranet's Graphic Designer, you have the opportunity to become an integral part of an in-house agency for one of California's largest social service agencies. This highly collaborative role will work closely with the Communications Director and the Development Director to implement Aspiranet's digital and print strategy focused on finding foster families, recruiting new employees, and increasing donations to support client-facing programs. This position will be REMOTE.

Aspiranet's internal agency provides creative and marketing services to our entire organization in a fast-paced environment. We're looking for someone who can take direction from written or spoken ideas and convert them seamlessly into images, layouts, and other designs. The ideal Graphic Designer will be able to hit the ground running and to work quickly and creatively on each project that is introduced.

This position will support the organization's presence online and in print with adherence to the established brand. This role requires the ability to be flexible, quick, and collaborative. A portfolio of successful projects will be requested. This is your chance to do the kind of great and impactful work you've been waiting for.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work simultaneously on multiple projects with varying deadlines
  • Create visual aspects of marketing materials, website graphics, and other media, including infographics consistent with Aspiranet's brand guide
  • Compile disparate elements of a design created by other professionals, such as icons, photographs, and other components necessary for web, print, and social media campaigns
  • Update Aspiranet's external website as needed, including adding new pages and content
  • Update Aspiranet's internal Microsoft SharePoint site, including new pages and content
  • Work closely and collaboratively with a skilled team of digital and print specialists
  • Consult directly with in-house clients to create cohesive designs that reflect our agency's goals
  • Ability to switch gears quickly while remaining on task
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite software (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
  • Extra points for video and audio editing software experience/expertise (Camtasia, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Adobe Audition)


  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, graphic design, digital media, or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of marketing experience, which includes 3 years of professional digital media experience
  • Knowledge of basic digital marketing principles including design and writing for online users and lead generation/conversion - portfolio of projects desirable
  • Experience developing or adhering to marketing operations standards
  • Hands-on experience with a content management system (preferably Wix)
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Video and audio editing skills a big plus
  • Experience working with marketing automation software (Pardot, Act On, Hubspot, Marketo, Eloqua, etc.)
  • Experience working with Microsoft SharePoint is a big bonus
  • Expert in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS desirable but not required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to explain the digitally savvy strategy to internal stakeholders with minimal digital knowledge
  • Ability to work independently to project managing multiple projects under tight timelines
  • Analytical, demonstrated ability to monitor and manage key performance indicators
  • Meets all state required conditions of employment as set forth by Community Care Licensing for a licensed Community Care Facility; i.e. Fingerprint and Child Abuse Index Clearance, TB/Health Physical, valid California Driver's License and clean driving record (Motor Vehicle Report) if required to drive for this position.
