Job Description:Prepares patients for procedures, assumes responsibility for patient needs during procedures. Performs procedures with accuracy and thoroughness in a timely manner, adhering to the protocols outlined in the department's procedure manual upon the order of a licensed independent practitioner for diagnostic interpretation by a radiologist.Education:

• Completion of Sonography Program PreferredExperience:
  • 3 years Medical Imaging - Sonographer PreferredCertifications/Licensures:
    • BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association - Required
    • Currently credentialed with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, with a current RDMS license with subspecialty registries in Abdomen and OB/GYN, and current RVT license.
    • BR Breast Certification - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography - Required at sites that perform Diagnostic Mammography, if performing diagnostic breast ultrasound - Must be obtained within 90 days of hire
    • OB/GYN - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography - Must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
    • RVT Registered Vascular Technologist - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography - Must be Obtained within 90 days of hire, with the exception of new graduates, who must obtain their RVT license within 14 months.
