a significant growth area for Franklin Templeton (FT). FT's initial
steps in digital were driven by fundamental research and
innovation, this has led to a significant increase in demand for
our digital products across the globe. Given the increase in
pipeline, digital products need to be managed, developed, and
deployed at a significantly larger scale. This requires formalizing
the function along the lines of digital first tech companies. This
role will lead the setting up of this function and help expand
it.As the Head of Digital Products, this role will oversee the
conceptualization, build, and deployment of FT's digital products
globally. The role would entail building the required product
management function and be responsible for the delivery and
deployment of FT products across multiple market segments and
geographies. The head would have to conceptualize and build a
digital platform that enables scalable, friction less growth of an
internal plus external ecosystem around FT's digital capabilities.
The role would own the end-to-end digital advice platform
capability and drive user experience. The role is of a high span as
it demands a deep understanding of client facing capabilities along
with fundamental AI capabilities like Reinforcement Learning and
Dynamic Programming, with a focus on finance. What are the ongoing
responsibilities of the Head of Digital Product Management
- Lead the creation of a comprehensive, companywide roadmap that
brings together inputs from several constituents including clients
and teams across investments, business, research, engineering,
data, and operations.
- Work with the technology and executive leadership to build a
multiyear/annual/quarterly roadmap.
- Monitor and manage the execution.
- Create Market Leading Products. Create advanced algorithmic
products with fast performance and compelling user experience,
based on a modern cloud architecture that incorporates the latest
technology and innovations while delivering a differentiated value
proposition to customers.
- Articulate the roadmap as well as individual products/features
as they are launched. Communicate the capabilities of different
products to stakeholders and clients.
- Acquire talent and build the team - Coach, mentor, manage a
team of senior product leaders. Invest in team development and
talent acquisition.
- Oversee product delivery. Guide the engineering teams towards
specific deliveries. Ensure strong alignment to target product
features. Guide delivery schedules across competing priories.
Signoff on delivery.
- Directly manage delivery of critical AI products, as a subset
of overall digital products. Drive MLOps, full stack development,
testing and sign off for the AI products.
- Engage with clients for solutioning and consult them on their
digital transformation. Incorporate client feedback, competitive
and market intelligence into product features and roadmap.
- Be responsible for business results and revenue growth through
product capabilities.
- Engage with multiple stakeholders - senior leaders, partner
firms and clients- on the digital product vision and strategy.
Ensure active support around digital capabilities.
- Digital is a growing business. An entrepreneurial background or
mindset will help achieve business objectives while driving a
scalable organization.What ideal qualifications, skills &
experience would help someone to be successful?
- Extensive experience in product management, development, and
operational roles. Solid understanding of AI and Mathematical
Optimization given the nature of our advice products.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience with significant background in
technology, AI and data.
- At least 5 years in a leading portfolio or product management
role. Demonstrated ability to build, deploy and scale products.
Demonstrated understanding of platform architecture, ideally in an
investment/wealth management environment. Understanding of
financial/investment advice can be a plus though not a must.
- Masters or PhD in engineering, computer science, or other
relevant technical discipline required. MBA preferred. The
candidate needs to have a strong relevant background to manage the
products as a business.
- CFA, CQF or any quant finance background could be a plus but
not essential.
- Background in AI/ML and analytics will be relevant.
Professional certifications and post graduate experience that
demonstrate these capabilities will be relevant.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex programs, including
execution, implementation and influencing skills. Ability to manage
conflicting priorities and of influencing the broader
organization.
- Team player mindset with an ability to test, learn and
pivot.

compensation, other compensation is offered such as a discretionary
bonus, 401k plan, health insurance, and other perks. There are
several factors taken into consideration in making compensation
decisions including but not limited to location, job-related
knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton, we apply
a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and
benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation.
The salary, benefits and variable rewards will reflect the
seniority of the position and a competitive market rate. We expect
the salary for this position to range between $200K - $300k, and
will adjust the compensation accordingly based on experience and
