This role is instrumental in bridging the global motors business with senior executives at eBay, including the C-suite, ensuring alignment and strategic focus. You will lead growth initiatives within the Parts & Accessories business, support the eBay Motors leadership team, and drive accelerated growth across Global P&A. Leveraging data and business case development, you will generate strategic insights and spearhead the execution of key initiatives with partners, ensuring excellence in planning, analytics, reporting, and collaboration across a vast cross-functional team.This rolerequires a dual mentality: a strategic leader with a profound understanding of two-sided marketplaces, capable of deconstructing complex problems into clear frameworks, operating in ambiguity, and possessing strong data intuition and executive-ready communication skills. Simultaneously, you must be an embedded operator, ready to act decisively and hands-on.KeyResponsibilities:- Leadership: Lead a team of 4 managers and senior managers in developing P&A category strategies, leading global inventory intelligence, and driving business operations.- Strategy: Formulate P&A category strategies as part of annual planning and program strategies for key category initiatives, collaborating with operating teams to launch and scale.- Business Operations: Monitor business and funnel performance, and create materials and category narratives for senior leadership operating cadences, including monthly and quarterly business reviews.- Inventory Intelligence: Develop foundational data products to enhance understanding of P&A inventory on eBay, driving product experience and inventory optimization operations in partnership with Analytics, Commercial Operations, and Product teams.- Cross-functional collaboration: Enhance team operations and strategy by collaborating across all cross-functional partners, including category operators, corporate strategy, Analytics, Product, Marketing, and more.What You Will Bring:- 10+ years of related experience, including 5+ years at a top-tier management consulting firm or in a strategy & planning role at a major corporation.- Strong ability to drive partner alignment, develop strategy, and execute initiatives across a diverse cross-functional team structure.- High degree of ownership and commitment to results.- Industry experience in consumer goods, retail, e-commerce, or consumer tech; a passion for motors or eBay is strongly desired, or a perspective on how eBay can play a part in your life.- BA/BSrequired; MBA or similar graduate degree preferred.Global Presence:This is a global business, and the Strategy & Operations team is located across the globe, with presence in San Jose, New York, London, Berlin, and soon India. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
